wth are they thinking. simpleton.
I know this have been all over the news.
I'm here to stat my opinion.
Seriously, it's like they didn't even think it through before making this idea.
Firstly, I'm all open for a more diverse students/Malaysians with good command in English.
However, making English as the condition for passing SPM??? It's like robbing our students of the opportunity to further their studies, for a better future.
Don't look at Singapore and try to turn us into them. This is not that country. This is Malaysia where there's multiple races living here. Schools in rural areas. You don't have internet connection for the whole country. Celcom is just a big fat liar. Not every household owns a tv. Not all schools have reading materials. Not every parents speaks good English. Not everyone lives in the city.
Not every family speaks English at home. Mine doesn't. It's just that I have a household where I can ask for books to read, which is why I have lots of elizabeth and jessica, and able to exchange them between school-mates.
Not every Malaysians have that opportunity, so don't take their opportunity to study.
Language is something that you can learn all your life. However, that hidden genius scientist inside our Malaysian childrens won't be able to show themselves if we kill them at this stage.
English is a widely use language in this world and we can nurture Malaysian to excel more in it.
Just remember that Bahasa Malaysia is our Jiwa Bangsa and we are nothing without it.
